INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY STATEMENT

This page explains the policy of the G. W. Adams Educational Center, Inc., with regard to the intellectual property rights of all photographs, video and audio recordings made at Prospect Place estate:

All photographs, videos and audio recordings made at the estate are the intellectual property of the G. W. Adams Educational Center, Inc.  The photographer, audio recordist, etc., are granted use of these aforementioned mentioned media for any and all personal purposes to include but not limited to the following:

Public or private display

Posting to a personal/private website

Sharing with other members of the general public

ANY use of the aforementioned media for profit or personal gain is expressly FORBIDDEN and will be prosecuted under the extent allowed by law.

In simple terms this means:

You may use your photos, recordings, etc.,  any way you like.  You may post them to a personal website, publish them in a free publication, share them with friends, etc.

You may NOT make any kind of profit from your photos, recordings, etc.  You may not sell them or lease them for profit.  If you do so we will take legal action.

These terms are requirements made on the Center by the Federal Government (IRS and others) as part of our Charity organization status.  Basically, the Government says:  "No person shall make a profit from a non-profit organization."
